I had this in-home session scheduled with this cute little family for a Friday morning in October, but the forecast was showing a dark, rainy day. I asked if they could reschedule for a different day, but they couldn't... so I was hoping for the best. When I woke up that morning, it was sooo dark outside my 3 year old even asked me, "Mommy, why is it still nighttime?" I was almost in a panic. I don't shoot a lot of in-home sessions, but when I do, I rely on natural light... and there was basically none. So I packed up my flash, extra batteries, and my reflector, and I headed to this session feeling very nervous. But by some miracle from God, it stopped raining and the sky brightened significantly when I was about 10 minutes away from their house. I arrived to this beautiful home and there were these huge windows in the kitchen, and this cute couple ready to snuggle their baby girl. We camped out by the windows for the whole session, because even though these photos are "bright and airy," it was still a very dreary day outside. I was so happy and relieved with how these images came out, and Mama told me that they were exactly what they wanted.
