Family Lifestyle Session - Chicago Photographer

I recently did a shootout with several Chicago area photographers and the focus was an unposed family lifestyle session outdoors. This is exactly the type of photography I am drawn towards and I've been really working to add more spontaneity and fun to my sessions in order to capture emotion and those genuine smiles. This family was amazing and they were all so natural in front of the camera that it made it seem to easy. A lot of my clients show up to the camera stiff and ready to fake smile, but my job and goal is to help you relax with games and prompts so that I can capture your real family as you are. This session was also taken during golden hour and is a great example why I try to do all of my outdoor sessions within two hours of sunset. It really makes a huge difference! Golden hour is pure magic.
